With Intempus, Agerskov Consulting went from heavy, manual time recording in Excel to a greater overview of the employees’ time and absences. This was an important step for a company with much focus on administrative work.
Agerskov Consulting is based in the capital of Greenland, Nuuk. The company handles property and business administration – therefore half of their work is spent on managing properties and owners’ associations, while the other half is spent on bookkeeping and payrolling. With such a large focus on administration, it was essential for the company to get a time registration system that could provide an overview and was also easy to use.
‘’We were looking for a new time tracking system to make it easier to keep track of working hours for the customers who are billed on an hourly basis. So primarily, we wanted to be able to make this process much easier and to keep an eye on the consumption of our agreements”, says Victoria Svendsen, Director of Agerskov Consulting.
However, a greater overview of the employees’ time and absences was also an important factor for Agerskov Consulting. With the new system, they wanted to get away from the heavy excel sheets.
Systems must be able to “talk to each other”
After a lot of research on the different possibilities for digital time registration, the choice fell on Intempus. Victoria Svendsen heard about Intempus through one of her carpenters, who had great experience with the system and its possibilities for easy invoicing with e-conomic. This made Victoria take a closer look at Intempus. Today, she finds that the possibility of integration to e-conomic and the GPS-tracking function in Intempus were particularly important for Agerskov Consulting.
‘’For us, a time registration system should at least be able to record time for customers, for different types of work and for types of absences. In addition, it had to be able to “talk” with our e-conomic system. But having a flexible system was especially important to us. I have some customers who work on contracts that do not need to be invoiced, and then I have some customers who work on an hourly basis that need to be invoiced.”
“Now I can make sure that people are up to date”
The absolutely essential thing for any company that is considering changing systems is of course that both management and employees can navigate it easily. This was also an important factor for Victoria Svendsen – and already in the implementation phase, they felt that their questions and needs were taken care of.
“Even in the implementation phase, we experienced the system as very user-friendly – and we got a really great introduction to Intempus. In addition, the support has been with us all the way. Both in relation to setting up the system correctly, but also if we had any questions along the way. In this way, we felt safe in the system before we introduced it to our employees. This meant that our employees did not feel that the change was too big. They felt that it was under control.”, Victoria Svendsen says.
The employee’s experience of Intempus was an important consideration for Victoria Svendsen. Fortunately, she has received very good feedback on the system: “Our employees have had a great experience with Intempus because it is so easy to register time. In addition, we have made sure that some of the employees can only see the customers they are working with. That way, they don’t end up with a long list of things they don’t need. This has made it much easier for our employees in their everyday work life.
