NovaTag brings together working time registration, payroll, and invoicing under one roof.

Chief of Administration and Marketing at NovaTag A/S

Roofing company in Værløse 14 employees

The Zealand roofing company NovaTag A/S has replaced manual data entry and spreadsheet work with mobile time registration, simpler payroll runs, and faster invoicing. Chord work and working time registration, in particular, have become easier to keep track of with the new IT tools.

Before Marianne Kristiansen met Intempus, she spent oceans of time invoicing customers and doing payroll for her 9 hourly-paid employees. But it was exhausting and time-consuming. Therefore, she decided to digitise the company's administration.

“It's ten times easier for me to process payroll when the employees enter their hours themselves through the pre-set rates in Intempus.” – Marianne Kristensen, Administration and Marketing Manager at NovaTag A/S

Goodbye to manual typing

”Before we started registering our work in Intempus, employees had an Excel sheet where they entered their hours and sent them to me. Then I moved each employee's hours over to a consolidated Excel sheet, after which I figured out which rates each employee was supposed to have,” says the Administration and Marketing Manager for NovaTag A/S.

In addition to being mentally draining, the manual timesheet was made extra complex by the many different rates.

”We work with hourly rates, piecework rates, 7-8 different mileage rates, and two site rates. I think that took far too much time,” Marianne elaborates.

Easier to make payroll

In particular, the employees' piecework could be difficult to keep track of. But now that the employees report their piecework hours themselves, it has become easier to do payroll in Danløn.

”It's ten times easier for me to process payroll when the employees themselves enter their hours through the pre-set rates in Intempus. When I need to do payroll, I can download a CSV file for each employee from Intempus into Danløn. After that, I just need to check that they've entered everything and manually register if there's been a day of absence,” explains Marianne.

The invoices write themselves

Once all work has been registered in Intempus, the project manager at NovaTag A/S simply needs to check if it has been calculated correctly. If the work is approved, the time registration automatically transfers to the accounting program e-conomic, where it serves as the basis for the customer's invoice.

”I find it liberating that the hours from Intempus automatically transfer to the invoice draft in e-conomic. This means there are many things I don't have to type from scratch when creating an invoice,” she concludes.
